Finding Caterpillars

The children are very excited about finding caterpillars on the playground. We have put three in a jar, so far, along with some leaves for food.  The kids are hopeful that the caterpillars will eat and eat until they get a stomach ache (Just like "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" story we have read many times in class).  Then the caterpillars  should build a cocoon and turn into butterflies!
